“It's a lovely day,” said Mr Gumpy. "Let's take the old cart-track across the fields."

For a while they drove along happily. The sun shone, the engine chugged and everyone was enjoying the ride. 0 Y3 L5 s: T1 @' }

The road grew muddier, and muddier, and the wheels began to spin. + C# K. Z' d# F; N

“Not me,”said the sheep. "I might catch cold."

The car sank deeper into the mud.

"Now we're really stuck," said Mr Gumpy.

甘伯伯说：“我们抛锚了。”

大家只好全部下去推车了。

Slowly the car began to move...

"Don't stop." cried Mr Gumpy. "Keep it up! We're nearly there."

% P* q3 k5 C4 K7 J6 R好不容易，汽车向前挪了一步。

甘伯伯大叫：“别放松！再往前推，我们快成功了。”

大家用尽全力一推，车轮爬上了硬地。

They looked up and saw that the sun was shining.

汽车艰难地爬到了小山的山顶。
