One morning, just after breakfast, Jessica and her little brother Matthew were hurrying about the house. Matthew was combing his hair. And Jessica, with her new blue dress and big blue hair ribbon, was busy cleaning up.

Swinging his shoelaces from his hands, Matthew walked on down the street, passed a garden filled with yellow flowers and buzzing bees.

In one hand, he carried a magic wand, and in the other, he held a dozens of sparkling colored shoelaces.
