如何来阅读The Dragon Dance先上图，
在开始读故事之前，可以让孩子根据书的封面和故事的名称想象一下这会是一个怎样的故事，故事中会发生什么。亲子共读过程中可以考虑以下活动：
1.和孩子一起读标题和看封面。问：你认为这个故事是关于什么的？
2.问：你能辨认出在龙服里的人吗？
Mrs May made a dragon.
The children helped her.
May老师在孩子们的帮助下做了一条龙。
Mrs May painted the head.
May老师涂了龙的头。
The children painted the body.
孩子们涂了龙的身体。
The dragon had a long body.
这条龙有一个长长的身体。
The children liked the dragon.
孩子们都很喜欢它。
They wanted to do the dragon dance.
他们想舞龙。
The children got inside the body.
Mrs May helped them.
May老师帮助孩子们钻进了龙的身子里。
“It’s made of paper，” said Mrs May. “Be careful.”
“ 这是纸做的，你们可要轻一点。” May老师说道。
Aneena was inside the head.
Aneena戴着龙头。
“Be careful.” said Mrs May.“Don’t tear the paper.”
“小心点，”May老师说道。“不要把纸弄破了。”
The mums and dads came.
爸爸妈妈们来了。
The children did the dragon dance.
孩子们表演了舞龙。
“What a good dragon.” said everyone.
“多么精彩的演出啊！”大家说。
Oh no! The dragon dance went wrong.
哦！不！舞龙表演出错了！
The dragon tore in half.
龙被撕成了两半。
The children were upset.
孩子们非常沮丧。
“Never mind.” said Mrs May.
“ 没关系。”May老师说。
“It was only made of paper.”
“它只是纸做的。”
Aneena’s mum had an idea.
Aneena的妈妈想到了另一个主意。
She told mums and dads.
她把这个主意告诉了其他的爸爸妈妈们。
“What a good idea !” they said.
“ 这主意可真棒啊！”他们说。
The mums and dads made a dragon.
爸爸妈妈们做了一条龙。
They made a long body.
他们做了一个很长的龙身。
They made a big head.
他们做了一个很大的龙头。
The dragon looked wonderful.
这条龙看起来很棒。
The children were pleased.
孩子们很开心。
They wanted to do the dragon dance.
他们想舞龙。
The children went into town.
孩子们来到了市中心。
They did the dragon dance.
他们表演起了舞龙。
“Come to the school fair.” said Chip.
“一起来学校的展览会吧。”Chip说。
“What a lot of people !” said Mrs May.
“ 哇，展览会来了好多人啊，”May老师说道。
“Thanks to the dragon. ”
“真是多亏了这条龙。”
故事到这里就结束，家长可以和孩子一起来完成活动。
1.看到第24页，问：为什么May老师认为龙对所有人都公平？
2.问：你认为哪条龙更好，孩子们的或大人的？为什么？
