The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was two years old, and he ran all around the house. He pulled all the books off the shelves. He pulled all the food out of the refrigerator and he took his mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet. Well, that mother, she got older. She got older and older and older. One day she called up her son and said, “You’d better come see me because I’ll very old and sick.”So her son came to see her. When he came in the door she tried to sing the song. She sang：I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always…But she couldn’t finish because she was too old and sick. 妈妈越来越老。有一天，给孩子打电话，让孩子过来看看她。

早听说了《Love You Forever》这本让无数读者流泪的书，去了很多次图书馆找这本书，可是它从不在待借书架上，总是被人借走了。最近终于在书店买到了这本书，而且是最后一本！已经是2003年第66次印刷的版本了。迫不及待地边走边看，在嘈杂的环境中我竟然也没能平静地读下去。一个简短的故事，讲述了一个母亲内心深处对孩子无私的深切的爱，即使孩子在成长的过程中如此让妈妈费心、如此叛逆，但母爱就是这样，毫无保留地包围着拥抱着孩子，直到永远。。。
