如何来阅读 The Treasure Chest 看看封面吧。

 

 

在开始读故事之前，可以让孩子根据书的封面和故事的名称想象一下这会是一个怎样的故事，故事中会发生什么。亲子共读过程中可以考虑以下活动：                             

1.和孩子一起读标题和看封面。问：你认为这个故事是关于什么的？                                  

2.讨论讨论封面上的宝藏和它在哪里？

 

 

Every week Ms May took some of the children to the swimming pool. 

The children were good swimmers and they liked going with Mrs May.

每周May老师都会带几个孩子去游泳。

孩子们个个是游泳小健特。他们喜欢和May老师一起去游泳。

 

 

The children were taking a swinming test. "It's time to begin,"said Mrs May."Who want to go first?" 

"We do,"said Nadim.

孩子们在进行游泳测试。

开始测试， May老师说“谁第一个来?”

“我们先来，”Nadim说，

Bit Chip, Wilma,and Nadim jumped into the pool.

The water was warm.

 "Off you go.”called Mrs May.

Biff、Chp、Wima和Nadim跳进游泳池。

游泳池的水温暖舒适。

May老师喊道。”请你们跳了，”

 

 

They had to swim up and down the pool.

They had to swim ten lengths.

Wilma was first to swim ten lengths and Biff and Nadim were next.

他们要在游泳池内潜下去游上了。

要游十个来回。

Wilma第一个游完十个来回，Biff和Nadim并列第二。

It was hard for Chip to swim the ten lengths, 

"Come on,Chip,"called Mrs May, 

"Don't stop.This is the last length." So Chip went on and everyone was pleased.

Chip游完十个来回有点吃力。

“加油，Chip," May老师说，

“别停下，这是最后一个回合了。”

Chip继续加油，孩子们个个兴高采烈。

 

 

Next they had to swim to the bottom of the pool. 

They had to pick up a brick and swim with it to the top.

接下来， 孩子们要游到水池底，

把石砖嫩到水面上。

All the children passed the swimming test. Mrs May Wasvery pleased. 

"Well done,everyone," she said.  

The children were pleased too.

所有的孩子都通过了测式。

May老师非常满意。

“大家都很棒，”她说。

孩子们个个兴高采烈。

 

 

Biff and Chip told Mum and Dad about the swinming test. 

"We passed,"they said.

Mum and Dad were very pleased too.

Biff和Chip向爸爸妈妈汇报了游泳测试的情况。“我们都通过了，”他们说。

爸爸妈妈非常满意。

Mum and Dud had a surprise for them. 

Biff and Chip couldn't see what the surprise was.

"What is it?"asked Biff.

爸爸妈妈给孩子们准备了惊喜。

Biff和Chip看不出是什么东西。

“是什么?”Biff问。 

 

 

"It's a fish tank,"said Biff“What a lovely surprise!"

Everyone looked at the fish swimming about in the tank.

“是鱼缸，”Biff说，“好萌的惊喜啊!”

大家看着鱼儿在鱼缸里游来游去。

"There is room for more fish,"said Dad, "We can get some next time we go shopping."

“还有足够的空间放入更多的鱼，”爸爸说.

“下次去买东西时再买儿条鱼。” 

 

 

The next day they went shopping; 

Dad took them to a shop that sold fish.

"What a lovely shop!"said Biff. "Look at all the fish."

第二天他们去买东西。

爸爸带他们去一家金鱼店。

“好萌的店啊!”Bif说,“看这些鱼。

There were big fish and little fish.

Kipper liked the big fish in a tank.

"Don't tap the glass,"said Dad.

"The fish don't like it”

店里有大鱼，也有小鱼。

Kipper喜欢鱼缸里的大鱼。

“别敲玻璃，”爸爸说，“鱼儿可不喜欢敲击声。” 

 

 

Dad put some more fish in the tank. 

He put rocks on thebottom. 

Next to the rocks he put a ship and a little box.

爸爸又放了儿条鱼到鱼缸里。

在鱼缸底放了几块小石头。

紧挨着石头，又放了一艘小船和一个小箱子。

Wilma and Nadim came to see the fish tank.

"It looks lovely."said Wilma."I wish I could swim in there."

Wima和Nadim过来看鱼虹。

“好可爱啊，”Wima说，“我好想在里面游泳啊。” 

 

 

They went to play in Biff's room. 

Chip ran in with the magic key.  The key was glowing. 

"It's time for an adventure,"said Biff.

他们去Biff的房间里玩。

Chip手拿魔法钥匙冲了进来。魔法钥匙亮了。

“探险时间到了，"Biff说。

The magic began to work. 

It took the children into a new adyenture. This time it was a diferent sort of adventure.

魔法出现了。

魔法带着孩子们开启断的探险之旅。

是一次非比寻常的探险。 

 

 

The  magic took them underwaler. 

The children had masks and fippeps and tanks of air.

They could swim underwater.

魔法把他们带到水下。 

孩子们脸上戴着潜水面罩，脚上穿着脚璞，背上背着氧气瓶。

孩子们在水下游来游去。

The children had never seen so many fish. They were alldifferent colours. 

"This is better than the pool,"thought Chip. 

"I feel like a fish,"thought Wilma.

孩子们从没见过这么多鱼。

都是五颜六色的鱼。

“比在游泳池里游泳爽多了，”Chip想。

“我像一条鱼,"Wilma想。

 

 

The children loved swimming under the water. 

It was lovely to see all the fish and to swim with them.

孩子喜欢在水下游来游去。

看到各种各样的鱼，与它们一起游来游去，是件萌翻天的事。

Chip and Nadim swam to the bottom and picked up a big shell. 

Biff looked at a jelly fish but she didn't swim too close.

Chip与Nadim游到海底抬起一个大贝壳。

Biff看到一只水母，但不敢靠它太近。

 

 

They saw a ship under the water.

It was an old ship that had been under the Waler for a long time.

他们看到水下有粮船，

是条破旧的船， 在水下淹漫很久了。

They swam up to the ship.

Wilma didn't want to swim too close to it.

It looked dangerous.

他们朝船游过去。

Wima不想离船太近，  

因为船看起来起来让人毛骨悚然。

 

 

They saw an octopus.

Oh no!It was siting on a chest.

They couldn't look inside the chest with an octopus siting on the lid

他们看到一只幸鱼。

哦，不!章鱼趴在盖子上，

他们无法看清箱子里的东西。

They blew bubbles at the octopus, 

The octopus didn't like the bubbles so it swam away.

"Good!"thought the children."Now we can look inside."

他们朝幸鱼吐泡池。

章鱼不喜欢泡泡就游走了。

”太好了!”孩子们想，“现在我们可以看看里面是什么东西了。”

 

 

The children opened up the chest and looked inside,

It was a treasure chest and it was full of gold.

孩子们打开箱子，朝箱子里望去。

是宝藏箱!里面装满了金银财宝。

Biff and Wilma pushed the chest over and all the gold fell out. 

Nadim picked up a necklace and Biff picked up a gold cup.

Biff与Wilme推倒箱子，所有的金银財宝都滚了出来。

Nadim检起一条项链，Biff检起一个金杯。

 

 

Biff and  Nadim were busying looking at the treasure.

They didn't see what Chip andWilma saw.

A shark was coming.

Biff 与Nadim忙着照看财宝,

没有留意Chip和Wilma发现的东西。

一条鲨鱼悄悄地游了过来。

Chip and Wilma couldn't tell Biff and Nadim. 

They pulled them away and pointed at the shark.

Chip和Wilma无法告诉Biff与Nadim鲨鱼来了。

他们拉开Biff和Nadim,指指鲨鱼。

 

 

The children  were frightened. 

They swam and swam but the shark swam after them. 

Then the magic key began to glow.

孩子们惊慌失措， 

拼命地游着。但鲨鱼紧追不舍。

就在这时，魔法钥匙亮了。

The magic key took them out of the adventure. 

"Wow!What an adventure!"said Biff.

"The treasure chest was like the one in our fish tank."

魔法钥匙带着孩子们结束了探险。

“哇塞!好可怕的探险啊!”Biff说，

“宝藏箱和我们家鱼缸里的箱子一模一样呢。”

 

 

The children ran to look in the fish tank.

“Look,there's the treasure,"said Chip.

"How did it get there?"asked Nadim.

"It's magic!"said Biff.

孩子们跑去看鱼缸。

“快看，有宝藏，”Chip说，

“怎么会在那里呢?"Nadim问。

“是魔法!”Biff说。 

 

故事到这里就结束，家长可以和孩子一起来完成活动。                                    

1.看到第4页，问：谁游的最快？

2.看到第18页，问：如果你在那，你是否会害怕？
